Setpoint is a custom HMI (Human
/ Machine Interface) that is well suited for SCADA (Supervisory Control and
Data Acquisition) of medium to small size process systems.
Setpoint is custom designed
and programmed specifically for your application.
- There is no need to hire
and train programmers because all programming is done by BradleyData.
- Graphics are not limited
to a symbol library because all graphics are drawn by BradleyData.
BradleyData has long held
the belief that computers should be programmed to work the way you work, using
paradigms and analogies that are familiar and comfortable. All too often we
are forced to change our entire operation to accommodate a new computer. Setpoint
uses graphics which are simplified drawings of the actual facility under control.
This makes it easy to learn and easy to operate.
- Training Time is reduced.
- Operators make fewer errors.
Setpoint uses OPC (Object
Linking and Embedding) for Process Control for communication with PLCs, digital
controllers, and Building Automation Systems. TCP/IP via Ethernet is used for
connectivity. · There are over 90 drivers available for linking the OPC
server to various products including: Allen-Bradley, Modbus, BACnet and many
others.
- You are not locked in to proprietary products and systems.
- Multiple drivers can be used with one or more OPC servers to create a flexible
control system ranging in size from one controller and one PC to controllers
and PCs spread across a campus, industrial park, or around the world.
Setpoint uses any industry
standard database which supports ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity).
- All alarms are logged with the time, time of acknowledgement, and time of
return to normal.
- Historical data is logged for all designated points or tags.
- Standard reports can be viewed and printed for any range of dates with a
few simple mouse clicks.
- Reports can be exported using industry standard CSV (Comma Separated Values)
format.
- Data storage is limited only by hard drive or server space.
- Custom reports can be created at any time in the future by anyone who is
familiar with industry standard SQL (Structured Query Language).
-
Data can be shared with any standard office software that supports ODBC (Open
DataBase Connectivity) or CSV (Comma Separated Values) format.
Setpoint uses industry standard
client / server technology for maximum multi-user, multi-tasking flexibility.
- One OPC server, the
database server, and the Setpoint client can all be put on the same PC for small
economical systems.
- Multiple OPC servers, the database server, and multiple clients can be
installed on many PCs spread across a campus, industrial park, or around the
world.
Setpoint communicates using
TCP/IP and Ethernet on the Internet, private intranet, or local network.
- Industry standard protocols
save money by using generic hardware and software.
- All components of Setpoint can be configured on a single PC or spread around
the globe as needed.
